About the Trek
The Dayara Bugyal Trek is a beloved route in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. To begin the adventure, the journey starts from the traditional village of Raithal or Barsu. The 4-day itinerary focuses on maximizing your time in nature. Therefore, the route features a relatively gentle gradient compared to many high-altitude treks.
The Experience
The journey quickly leads you out of the pine-scented lower forests. Subsequently, you enter the open expanse of the meadows. Day 3 forms the core of the trek. Consequently, this day demands an early start, climbing to the highest point of the Bugyal. Upon reaching the summit, you receive an uninterrupted, sprawling view of the Western and Central Garhwal Himalayas. Overall, the campsites, typically near Barnala Tal or Gui, are picturesque.
