Day 1 :

KASOL - GRAHAN VILLAGE

DISTANCE: 8 KM | TIME: 4-5 Hours Trek | MAX ALTITUDE: 7,700 ft

Gather with your group at the Kasol base camp in the morning for a brief orientation session. Afterward, start your trek alongside the roaring waters of the Grahan Nallah. The initial trail stays gentle; consequently, you adjust to your rucksack weight easily.

You wind deeper into dense woods filled with old rhododendron and pine trees. The final stretch gets steeper as you climb toward the ancient village of Grahan. Finally, explore the classic wooden heritage houses before enjoying a hot dinner at your campsite.

Day 2 :

GRAHAN VILLAGE - MIN THACH

DISTANCE: 8 KM | TIME: 5-6 Hours Trek | MAX. ALTITUDE: 11,150 ft

Start your morning trek along a beautiful forest path that exits the Grahan valley. The trail ascends sharply through a heavy canopy of old maple and cedar trees. Consequently, you stay cool under the dense shade while gaining significant elevation.

The thick forest cover opens up suddenly to reveal the stunning alpine clearing of Min Thach. Once there, we pitch our tents in the expansive meadow directly facing the massive mountain horizons. Finally, watch a beautiful high-altitude sunset over the distant Chandrakhani range.

Day 3 :

MIN THACH - NAGARU

DISTANCE: 5 KM | TIME: 4-5 Hours Trek | MAX. ALTITUDE: 12,400 ft

Begin a shorter but much steeper ascent through the thinning high-altitude tree line. The trail snakes along a high mountain ridge where the wind feels exceptionally crisp. Because the slope drops sharply into the valley below, you must walk with careful footing.

You will reach the cliffside campsite of Nagaru by the early afternoon. The temperature drops rapidly here; therefore, pull out your heavy insulated layers immediately. Finally, enjoy early hot soup while looking at the glowing lights of Manikaran town far below.

Day 4 :

NAGARU - BISKERI THACH | V.I.A. SAR PASS SUMMIT

DISTANCE: 12 KM | TIME: 7-8 Hours Trek | MAX. ALTITUDE: 13,800 ft

We wake up before dawn to climb the massive snow fields safely before the sun softens the crust. The steep climb up the crisp snow requires patience but offers unmatched adrenaline. Suddenly, you cross the top of Sar Pass and witness a spectacular 360-degree view of the high Himalayas.

Immediately after the celebration, enjoy the ultimate highlight of a long, thrilling snow slide down the mountain slope. This gliding path brings you smoothly into the gentle valley below. Finally, complete a short walk through alpine streams to reach the peaceful meadows of Biskeri Thach for dinner.

Day 5 :

BISKERI THACH - BARSHAINI | DRIVE BACK TO KASOL

DISTANCE: 6 KM Trek | 18 KM Drive | TRAVEL: 1 Hour Return Drive

Savor your final morning breakfast while looking at the majestic pine trees surrounding Biskeri. Afterward, begin your steady downhill trek through beautiful, mossy pine forests. The trail leads past the quiet hamlets of Pulga and Tulga toward the road-head.

We cross the wooden bridge over the Parvati River to reach our waiting vehicles at Barshaini. From here, a dedicated Olixora cab transfers you smoothly back to the Kasol market. You arrive by late afternoon to conclude your epic Sar Pass crossover adventure.
