It is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and reaches a maximum altitude of 12,500 feet (3,800 meters). This trek is special because it leads to a true summit. Hikers enjoy stunning 360-degree views of impressive peaks like Swargarohini & Bandarpoonch, which set it apart from many other trek viewpoints. Rated Easy to Moderate, the 5 to 6-day journey begins in the lovely village of Sankri. Though it can be done year-round, it is most popular from December to April when the trail is covered in deep snow. Day 01 :

Arrival at Sankri

Altitude: 6,400 ft; 220 km drive (approximately 10 hours).

Trekkers will be picked up from Dehradun at 6:30 AM in a Tata Sumo or similar vehicle. The expected time of arrival (ETA) at Sankri is 5:00 PM.

Day 02 :

Sankri - Juda ka Talab

Altitude: 6,400 ft to 9,100 ft | 4 km trek (approx. 5 hours).

The trail winds through dense pine forests and maple trees, passing several streams before opening up to beautiful meadows (stay in tents).

Day 03 :

Juda ka Talab - Base Camp

Altitude: 9,100 ft - 11,250 ft | Trek Distance: 4 km (approximately 2.5 hours).

The trail primarily runs along a ridge, providing ample shade from the oak trees. You will pass through meadows featuring characteristic shepherd log huts. The impressive peaks of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana will dominate the landscape. You will be staying in tents, enhancing your immersive experience in this stunning environment.

Day 04 :

Base Camp - Summit - Juda Ka Talab

Altitude: 11,250 ft - 12,500 ft - 8,900 ft | Trek Duration: Approximately 6 km (around 7 hours).

Spend some time at the summit before descending back to the base camp by noon for lunch. After lunch, continue your descent to Juda ka Talab, aiming to arrive by evening. Overnight stay will be in tents.

Day 05 :

Sankri - Dehradun

Discover stunning elevations and lush forests: Trek from 8,900 ft to 6,400 ft over 6 km in just 4 hours.

Enjoy a scenic 190 km (approximately 8 hours) drive to Dehradun station, where you'll be dropped off in a comfortable Tempo Traveler, Auto, Tata Sumo, or similar vehicle.

NOTE - On day 5, you’ll reach Dehradun between 06:00 PM and 07:00 PM. You can book your travel back to your hometown any time after 08:00 PM.
